This week, eTown returns to the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana for part two of our two-part exploratory adventure into the origins and vast musical styles native to the Louisiana area. We will take a deep dive into the producers and artists that were recently a part of the Grammy-nominated recording project produced by Joel Savoy and Josh Caffery, entitled I Wanna Sing Right: Rediscovering Lomax in the Evangeline Country. We’ll pick up where we left off last week with music from Ann Savoy, Sonny Landreth, Michael Doucet, The Broussard Sisters and much more. All of this, plus we’ll check in with Marylee Orr, a woman who advocates for local Louisianans affected by industrial pollutants that impact their air, water, land, and life-spans.
