This week, eTown continues its long trend of featuring great musical artists with Oklahoma roots by welcoming Americana artist John Moreland for his first visit to eTown’s solar-powered stage. With his earliest influences and musical expressions coming from the worlds of punk rock and hardcore, John credits his switch to folk music after being influenced by the music of Steve Earle – a legendary artist and frequent eTown guest that carries an approach and attitude toward music and songwriting that could easily straddle both worlds in his own right. Also joining us is singer/songwriter and instrumentalist Phoebe Hunt. Plus, we’ll hear a great eChievement Award story about a California woman’s program to help women transition from prison to a productive life.
