Veteran singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn’s Etown appearances have always provided some of the show’s most cherished and memorable performances, and this week’s rebroadcast program, originally taped at the Flynn Theater in Burlington, Vermont, is no exception. As usual, Bruce brings a few more recent tunes and some classic ones, along with some insightful social commentary with him. Our second musical guest is engaging young singer-songwriter, Brett Dennen. (This particular show was his first-ever stop in Etown). And hosts Nick & Helen Forster and the Etones lend some of their stellar musical and vocal support to both of this week’s guests, too. There’ll be a lot of great music, along with a special E-Chievement Award winner, this week in Etown.

Bruce Cockburn concert was awesome. I will be checking into etown all the time now! You guys are great! Have you had John Gorka, Richard Shindell, Lucy Kaplansky or Patti Griffin on?

I love Cockburn. I covered his song “All The Diamonds” on my 2008 album “SOUL”. His gift of expressing himself through song is very powerful.
